Hachi: My dog's story

Today I will tell you a repentant dog’s story. We all know that dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, herding, pulling loads, protection, assisting police and military, companionship and many more. This impact on human society has given them the nickname "Man's Best Friend". In my story the affection of man towards this animal is just like another example….
This dog didn’t belong to our locality, even I had never seen her before. One day she entered our garden with pregnancy. My family members were insistent about not keeping this newly guest. But after seeing her condition my mom said to keep her  on a remote place of the so called vacant place, garden. We also gave her some food and water. On that day she gave birth of two puppies. I remembered that the time was winter. So when the temperature went down in the evening the puppies trembled and barked in a soft voice. I went there and gave them a bale of jute to cover their body and put them on the bale. (For mentioning, they lied on the ground). The first night went on and in the morning when I went there I saw that the bale was 10 miters apart from them. That’s why we say clarified butter is not digested on dog’s liver. Days were going on and after some days puppies started to walk. I remembered when puppies couldn’t walk, their mother all time grappled them and never moved on throughout the day. This happened 3-4 days, and when they started moving, only once or twice their mother went outside for her personal work. Believe me the number of days she was in our room, she never did any toilet or latrine within our house. I was astonished after seeing that .
After some days she changed her shelter from one place to another in our house. We were giving them proper food and water. But the saddest thing was after some days one of her puppies died. That day I saw the pain of losing her baby. Neither she moved from that place nor she took any food. All time holding her another baby and the dead animal was also within her reach. On the next day she picked the dead baby and tried to place it on a shelter, but couldn’t find proper place and walking here and there with the baby. This looked uncleanness to us. So when she took her dead baby outside of our house, my father took the other baby and placed it outside and closed the main door. After some times she returned to our house and seeing the door closed she scratched and pushed the door. But we had not opened the door. Day was going on and when the night came she again scratched and pushed our door. I would never forget the distressed voice of hachi on that night. She was coming  within an interval and went back in vain. Even at 1 in the night she howled and wanted to see her children. As she thought that her child was within our house. Once I thought to open the door just to watch her that there was no one in our room, but again thought if she didn’t go out. So I didn’t open.
Now the junior hachi is growing up and run here and there. Even now when I returned home at night hachi, her husband and baby follow me from the road and come to our house. Sometimes they are waiting patiently at our main door.  I give foods to them and then they become satisfy. Now many of you may ask me a question. Why I gave the name as “Hachi”? Many of you saw the movie “hachiko a dog's story” of Richard Gere. Yes my hachi is the inspiration of the film. Here I am not playing like Richard nor my hachi wait for me in the station, but the kind of affection she gives me is much more than the big budget film. I even don’t know what will happen with me or with hachi in the future, but not being with me in my room she exists in our heart deeply.

Experience @TCS ILP....

ILP(Initial Learning Program),is a training program for about 3 months, which every fresher has to undergo upon joining TCS. My ILP started from  26th December,2011. On the very day I was very very of excited(or little bit tensed) to join asia’s best IT company, TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES(TCS). Before sharing my experience, I would like to let you know that my ILP center was in kolkata(saltlake,sector-v). Many of my friends had to go outside Bengal for doing this training, some of them were in Hyderabad and some were in Trivandrum, and some were kolkata too. So, as you would have already guessed, we were divided into 3 groups by the TCS people.
At last the day arrived. We were informed to report at 8:30 am at sector-v TCS office.  I went there around 8:15 am and upon reaching I saw many people like me were waiting outside the gate, more were coming. There were some known faces, my friends who have been recruited with me from our college and mostly unknown faces as well. We were instructed to come inside the gate one by one with a valid ID proof and TCS offer letter. Then we were seated in an auditorium room for introduction. First 2days went doing the paperworks which is necessary for new joinees.
From the third day onwards we were shifted to CMC building (Vishnu Tower) for our training. We came to know that our training will be on Java/J2EE and shift was 9 am to 6:30 pm. First couple of days were boring for me. We talked with each other throughout the day in a 4 wall bounded room and time to time sir came and taught us. I told my friends, who was yet to join till then, how we face the problems. Believe me we seemed like being in captivity. The only difference was that we were getting a salary at the end of the month.:). That time security guards were very strict on us. If we did any kind of small mistake we were picked up and taken to the Admin. Some times we were very much angry at them. Also it was the time when we came out college platform to office. So there were several rules and regulations you have to follow. There were 3 breaks within the shift. From 11:00-11:20(tea break),1-2(lunch) and 3:50-4:10(tea). In our room there were 32 people and 26 are from MCKVIE(my college). The rest 6 are  from NIT,shilchar
Days went by,slowly and gradually. After some days training started properly. We had two faculty. Mr. Subhadeep Ghosh(tech-lead) and Mr. Rajeev Vaidya(bizz-lead). Subhadeep Sir looked into technical topics and Rajeev Sir assigned to soft skills developing. Monday to Thursday was formal day(i.e u have to wear formal shirt and pant) and Friday was business day(u can wear jeans and collared t-shirt). Sometimes we wore blazer for presenting the presentation. Life felt good and most important point was that I am an employee now.
After some days we were divided into group of 5/6 people for doing a project. In our group we have Ankur, Nitin, Shiv, jai and me. Only Shiv is from NIT silchar. We have total 6 groups and believe me I got the best group of working people. We all worked properly and frequently we needed to give some presentation about the development status of the project and some bizz skill  presentation(just like how to sell a water purifier or vacuum cleaner). Sometimes we did some team building activity like jigsaw puzzle, how to make paper boat in a fixed time, some kind of innovative things with paper etc. Soft skill classes were refreshing for us after 3 technical classes (as we have 3 technical class and one soft skill class in a day).
We enjoyed each and every moment day by day. We celebrated friend’s birthday with cake, samosa, cold drinks , chocolate with a group. As we are from same college so much more mischief kind of work from our room. Most of the time complain went from our room for our behavior. Even, at one time a faculty refused to take our class, but then on our sincere he resumed classes.
Last few days were some happy or sad moments are there. We share our experience, friend’s nature in diary. Now it was the last day at CMC when we conducted our farewell with our teachers. Some of my friend sang some songs. Even I sang “awesome sala” ,one of Bengali entertainment program ‘mirakkhel’ song. But it would not have been complete if our tech lead had not sung the song “Jodi tor dakh sune keu na ase tobe akala cholo re”. The way he sang is truly awesome. We all gave a standing ovation for this performance. Then there was a closing ceremony at auditorium for releasing us. There were heart touching songs, some stunning dance performances and some comedy scripts performed by our friends.  Lastly it would be unfair if I don’t say the commendable job by our CRs for guiding us and helped us when we needed.  we still miss our lady CR famous dialogue “K17 I have an announcement”…….
